Design Assistance We will help you choose the design that is best suited to your application. Experienced skylight designers utilize the latest computer-aided design (CAD) work stations to produce shop drawings of the skylights and their details. This complete description of the products gives the architect and contractor confidence in the quality and integrity of the structure. Drawings of typical designs and construction details are available on disk in Autocad DWG and DXF format.

Value Engineering Our designers will review your project and provide cost-saving suggestions based on our experience. Quality and aesthetic appeal are combined with economy. Project Management Your job will become the personal responsibility of a project manager. Each step of the process-from shop drawings through final delivery-is identified on the project schedule and status is tracked continually. You are always within a personal phone call or an electronic update of what is going on with your skylight.

Quality Control The quality built into every skylight is evident in the choice of the finest materials. Tubular or I-beam members are architectural-grade aluminum extrusions, heat-treated for superior strength. Depending on site and design conditions, bolted and/or welded construction is employed. All component fasteners are concealed when possible, and are of stainless steel. Clamping bars are completely covered with snap-on caps, concealing fasteners and providing a water-tight installation. Glazing support systems are available in a number of stock sizes, depending on design loads and deflection criteria.

Professional Engineering Your skylight design is reviewed, signed, and sealed by a licensed professional engineer to insure the structural adequacy of the skylight and its component parts. All applicable codes are rigorously observed.

Pre-assembly Each project is pre-assembled on a simulation of curb conditions on our factory floor, minimizing problems in the field and verifying the design.

Glazing All types of glazing materials can be provided in two- and four-sided systems. Clamping bars or flush silicone structural glazing is available, and only the highest quality gaskets and sealants are used.

Single Source Responsibility inter-sky offers a single source for the skylight from conception and design through fabrication and custom installation. Shapes include pyramids, single slopes, double sloped ridge lights, ridges with hipped or glazed ends, segmented and radius polygons, segmented and radius domes and vaults, as well as rolling skylights that can be opened or closed as desired.
